Baramati Pioneers a Technological Revolution: Technology Demonstration Project.

Baramati, June 29, 2025 – Today, Baramati laid the foundation for a new era of technology with the inauguration of the Technology Demonstration Project. This historic event brought together Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on the same platform. Renowned nuclear scientist Dr. Anil Kakodkar also graced the occasion with his presence.

A Hub of Innovation

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Baramati, showcased several projects demonstrating the convergence of science and innovation. Cutting-edge facilities such as Science on Sphere, Virtual Reality, Robotics Lab, and Holographic Demo are now accessible to rural students in Baramati, opening doors to world-class technology.

Maharashtra’s First Pilot Project

Selected by the Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission, this project marks the first pilot initiative of its kind in Maharashtra. It is set to serve as a guiding model for five science centers across the state, paving the way for new career opportunities in science and technology for rural youth.

Session at Manthan Hall

Following the inauguration, a key session was held at the Atal Incubation Centre, Shardanagar, in the 'Manthan Hall.' Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “To ensure rural students are introduced to modern technology, I allocated funds during my tenure as Finance Minister. We will now support such initiatives through CSR funding as well.” He also praised Baramati’s Karishma Inamdar, who has brought pride to the region by working with NASA.

Boosting Education and Technology

Ajit Pawar emphasized the need for skill-based education and announced a provision of ₹500 crore for the development of Baramati and its surrounding areas. He added, “AI technology has boosted sugarcane production, and we are establishing centers to support such experiments.”

This Technology Demonstration Project is not just a technological hub for Baramati but a transformative milestone that inspires and empowers rural India’s youth. The presence of leaders like Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, alongside a scientist of Dr. Anil Kakodkar’s stature, lends national and international significance to this initiative.
