Joyful Saturday: A Morning Full of Engaging Math Activities at Prince English School.
Selu, 26 July 2025
– Under the "Joyful Saturday" initiative, various interesting
math-related activities were organized today at L.K.R. Rodge Prince English
School, Selu, run by the Shriram Pratishthan. The initiative, conceptualized by
Dr. Sanjay Rodge, transformed the school’s Saturday morning into an energetic
and enthusiastic experience through creative presentations based on
mathematics.
The morning began with students enthusiastically participating in the school
assembly, presenting poems, riddles, and short skits based on mathematical
concepts. Their performances brought a spark of excitement among all present
and set the tone for the day.
Following the assembly, the school’s math teachers conducted engaging games,
hands-on demonstrations, and model-making sessions, all centered around
mathematics. These activities aimed to develop a deeper interest and fondness
for the subject among students.
Teachers used simple and creative methods to explain mathematical concepts.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Pragati Kshirsagar, activities such as geometric
shapes, math games, and logic-based puzzles were conducted. These fun and
interactive sessions helped eliminate the fear of math and encouraged students
to enjoy learning it.
Principal Mr. Kartik Ratnala said, “The objective of the Joyful Saturday
initiative is to instill a love for each subject in students. We are delighted
to see the enthusiasm and participation in today's math activities. Teaching
subjects like mathematics in an enjoyable manner significantly boosts students’
confidence.” All math teachers of the school—Mr. Arjun Garud, Mrs. Kale, Mr.
Ajay Kumar, and Mrs. Songthong—actively contributed to the program.
Parents appreciated the initiative, noting that such engaging activities
have positively changed their children’s outlook towards mathematics.
Prince English School’s Joyful Saturday initiative continues to provide
students with opportunities to learn academic subjects in an enjoyable and
interactive way. The success of today’s math-themed event has sparked greater
interest and excitement in the subject, and the school plans to organize more
such events in the future.
