The campus of L.K.R. Rodge Prince

excitement today as students, teachers, and guests came together to celebrate
the Second National Space Day. The event was part of the school’s Joyful

of the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award, along with Dr. Savita Rodge
(Secretary), Prof. Mahadev Sable (Administrative Officer), Principal
Kartik Ratnala, and the entire teaching faculty.
A Journey
Through India’s Space Achievements
The morning assembly set the tone
for the day with a special program dedicated to ISRO’s remarkable space
missions. Class 10 students brought history to life through creative
presentations, leaving the audience inspired.
Adding to the excitement, Pooja
Vayal, a student and budding rocket scientist, gave a live demonstration of
a rocket launch. Her session was both educational and motivational for her
peers. In recognition of their outstanding contributions, Pooja Vayal,
Tanishka Telbhare, and Tejashree Choudhari were felicitated by Dr. Rodge.
Young
Minds, Big Dreams
The primary students charmed
everyone with symbolic models based on ISRO’s missions, showcasing their
imagination and curiosity. A drawing competition filled the campus with
vibrant colors as children expressed their creativity on themes of space
exploration. Meanwhile, secondary students engaged in PowerPoint
presentations, speeches, and quiz competitions — all centered around ISRO’s
pioneering work.
A Vision
for the Future
In his address, Dr. Sanjay Rodge
unveiled plans for the upcoming Curiosity Science and Innovation Activity
Center. “In the near future,” he shared, “our students will be launching
rockets guided by GPS technology — and we are here to mentor them every step of
the way.” His futuristic vision sparked enthusiasm among the students, igniting
a passion for innovation and scientific inquiry.
Recognizing
Excellence
Dr. Rodge’s tireless efforts in
uplifting rural students through education were recently acknowledged at the
national level. For his remarkable contribution to the field, he was honored
with the Bharat Gaurav Award by the Government of India and ISRO — a
recognition that further motivates his mission.
Building
Scientific Temper in Young Learners
The event’s success was made
possible by the dedicated efforts of the science faculty, with wholehearted support
from other teachers. Praising the students, Dr. Rodge remarked,
“This celebration is not just about
honoring ISRO’s achievements, but about instilling a scientific mindset and a
sense of pride in our students.”
The National Space Day program
concluded on a high note, leaving every participant inspired and determined to
explore the limitless possibilities of space science.
